Can you believe it's been almost a full month since we've seen a movie? Well, neither can I. But what a way to get back into it! This is the first Fellini movie I've ever seen, and I have to imagine that it's like starting with Picasso by looking at Guernica. This is a very dense film. Frankly, I'm not sure how to describe it or even what to fully think of it, except to say that it was beautiful and thought-provoking, while sometimes being grating and mystifying. Sometimes it's like Mamet, sometimes it's incomprehensible... The last fifteen minutes is some of the best film I've ever seen. - T

Wow! This is one of those movies people tell you to watch, so, naturally, I thought it would be dull and fusty. Au contraire. It's a beautiful film. So many layers managed so beautifully. As my colleague across the aisle said, it's dense - there is so much going on all at once that it's challenging to keep up with everything - the language, the visuals, the story lines, but it's definitely worth the effort. Oh, and did I mention that it's beautiful? - A
