The moral is old, the telling new-ish. Isn't this kind of like a "Matrix for Dummies?" I always enjoy Bruce Willis, and will, apparently, see him in anything. And I don't regret it a bit. - T

When will the greedy, faceless corporations of the near future produce something we can all get behind? When? - A.

Egad, even though I was thoroughly enchanted by Amy Adams in the past, and I'm a huge Frances McDormand fan, I just couldn't love this movie. - T

A pleasant, thirties-era fairy tale. - A

The leads were enjoyable, and it was nice to see Bishop Allen. - T

I love that Michael Cera. He seems able to infuse even the worst dialogue with humor and charm. And he had yeoman's work to do in this case. He luckily got some help from Kat Dennings. I just didn't care. Does that make me a bad person? - T

As my esteemed colleague suggests, this movie was missing something. It failed to make the right connections. On the other hand, it did have Daniel Craig in it. Have I mentioned that Daniel Craig has beautiful eyes? I did connect with those. - A.

This was interesting, in an obviously moralistic kind of way. The filming was jarring almost to the point of being irritating, and the ending suffered from the supervillain problem of "...ok, I'm going to kill you now... I'm really going to enjoy this... yep, in just another few seconds you're going to get it..." I didn't hate it, but I probably wouldn't watch it again. - T

In a word, gritty. In 9 words, rather gripping if a bit off the reservation, alien-goo-in-the-face-but-I-don't-need-a-doctor-until-I-collapse-on-my-cake-wise. - A
