Clooney pretty much seems to play Clooney, like he usually does, but it's almost always a likable character. The movie isn't great, but it's likable, too. I mean, who would ever dream up that new firing technique? They don't actually have that, do they? - T

I was on cloud nine while watching Clooney, but came crashing down as I thought about this movie after leaving the theatre. I feel I was duped, or rather, misled. I personally believe that the character Alex was portrayed throughout the movie in a way that was inconsistent with the end of the movie. And, this movie merits my signature complaint - it's ending is weak. - A

This was a mostly irritating movie with some good and some funny parts. I love Kristen Wiig, Jason Bateman, and that bald guy from Juno, but the movie as a whole was poor. - T

If you distill this movie down to its essence, I think it's good. It starts with some excellent main ingredients (Ben Affleck in particular), as mentioned by my colleague across the aisle, but it mixes in a little too much goofiness and it fails to rise to greatness. - A
